Disappointed Fixed LTE subscriber
This is not a complaint — it’s a call to awareness.
If you're an Afrihost Fixed LTE subscriber, please know this: you are not alone in facing internet issues. Many of us are experiencing the same problem. Yet, Afrihost continues to create the impression that each case is isolated, treating it with false urgency — when in reality, they appear to be delaying us just long enough to process the next debit order.
I still don’t understand why we’re being told to use 5G-compatible devices for a 4G package. It feels like Afrihost and MTN are forcing customers into unnecessary contracts for new devices, and we should not accept this.
It has now been five days without reliable network access. They whitelist your router for a brief period — an hour or so — and then, for no clear reason, it gets suspended again. I'm tired of this cycle. Every time, I'm asked for my IMEI number again and again. Enough is enough.
I’m calling on Afrihost to clearly explain whether there is a permanent solution, and if so, provide realistic timelines. We deserve the opportunity to make informed decisions.
Tomorrow, they will debit our accounts. It is unjust to charge for a service they are currently failing to provide. If Afrihost intends to go ahead with billing, they must compensate us with sufficient data on our primary SIMs while they resolve the issue. If not, they have no right to take a cent.
To Afrihost management: If you wish to maintain our trust and continue this relationship, you must be transparent and communicate clearly.
As for me — I will be reversing the debit order tomorrow if no real solution or direction is provided. I encourage others to do the same.
