Depends who you speak too, the story keeps changing

Either the staff are not willing to help or they do not know how to help. A migration takes very long to get to the new speed. I have called and waited in line on the call service and get told my migration will take 48 hours. 48 hours pass I make contact, I am told my previous ISP did not release my line, which I could have resolved if I got that information originally. so 48 hours will most likely end up being 5 business days as I need to initiate all of this myself by making calls and asking whether what I signed up for has been done

So it has now been 3 days and I have been told by yet another staff member that it will now take another 5 business days to sort out my line speed. I cannot believe that a company like Afrihost does not have a direct line to Openserve to sort out their customer migrations smoothly. Instead of pure internet joy it should be, pure frustration and blatant lies! Cool Ideas did my previous migration on a Saturday, by Monday morning my line speed was sorted out. How can Afrihost not get it sorted out sooner than what is looking like 2 weeks

Next round of bull****! I contacted Openserve, they claim no order has been placed for the ownership of my line, that has been and is currently in the holding pool since the 1st November. Afrihost now claims my line is stuck in the process and that they will escalate the call to their fibre department to get them to try take ownership of the line, which if they do it will take another 24 hours. Once they do that, they will then place and order to put my line on Afrihost system and that will take another 24 hours....even though I have been waiting for 5 days already. No effort is being made to correct their error and telling lies seems to be the order order of the day at this ISP

Day 7 still pure internet frustration! The story has changed again, my line now has been app**** for and the buck has been passed onto Openserve. Apparently Openserve is now aware there is a problem on their side but according to Afrihost, Mikie at Openserve is not responding to their request to activate my line on the Openserve network. Afrihost must be giving Openserve such little business that they as a company are not important at all to Openserve. They seem to have no clout when sending requests. Maybe the ship has finally started to sink and Fibre operators are jumping ship because 7 days of being ignored is just ridiculous. By now, most people in any industry where service is paramount would have been in contact by telephone and making sure the problem is resolved by the time the telephone gets put down. Seems sending emails to non responding people is acceptable to Afrihost. Maybe the calls cost too much for the sinking ship, who knows?
