Caught out by Afrihost - do not use them at all costs - terrible company

DO NOT USE AFRIHOST AT ALL - A TERRIBLE COMPANY

I used their services briefly under the auspice of "No Contracts or Catches" but lo and behold they are trying to catch me. I stopped paying for their hosting and did not renew my domain. The sent emails requesting me to renew, etc but I never did. After a month or so of not paying AfriHost cancelled my hosting, cancelled my emails and also did not renew my domain ... all was well .. so I thought. After 4 months or so ... AfriHost WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION FROM MYSELF, decided that they can go into my bank account and just withdraw R195 ... Firstly, who gives them permission to go into your bank account whenever they feel like it. secondly, that money could be needed for food for kids or lifesaving medicine etc, etc .. but they do not care .. they just took it off without thought. Yes, it is about the money and the principle - they have no rights to do it.

I tried to reverse it at the bank which I was told to take it up with AfriHost as it is not a debit order *** ... AfriHost just ignores what my emails say and just keeps on passing me from one supporter to another telling me that I must go in and cancel my services .. cancel what .. there is no contract and Afrihost already cancelled my services but this is how they dupe you .. this is how they catch you out and this is where they get power to do whatever they want to ... it is diabolical in every sense and I needed that money at that time ... terrible.. They will find some hidden clause somewhere, they will keep with the bull**** narrative that I must cancel things etc etc and they will not stop with the same narrative ...

My advice .... do not use Afrihost .. ever ... seriously, this is good advice... They seriously coudnt give a continental **** about you ... and that is a company you do not want to support.
