Cannot fix a typo in a name?

I have been struggling for 3 days to get support of sorts to rectify an incorrect name stored or used on my profile for communications. When they have your first name save as Johnny but it`s suppose to be John and they cannot change this. And when you have to explain to 5 different people from the start that your name is John and not Johnny and they cannot seem to understand the difference? After 3 days of back and forth hearing that it`s not on their side it must be on mine. I still could not get it fixed. So I will either have to accept the name Afrihost choses to call me or find a new service provider that caters for the use of actual names. Gatvol
