Blacklisted public IP address

I'm a new fibre client at Afrihost. I noticed that there are some websites which I cannot access. Upon investigation I found that the public IP address issued to my connection by Afrihost is blacklisted on 14 different blacklists and this appears to be the reason for my problems. It has culminated in me not even being able to access my mail server through my fibre link.

I have been requesting action from Afrihost for longer than a month, and I get various answers: Initially they claimed that there is no problem.... Then that blacklisting is not Afrihosts problem as they have no control over their customers' activities. Then that if they connect me with another public ip address that it would probably also be blacklisted anyway. Then that I should contact each website which blocks me to request access.

Whatever I say Afrihost avoid the actual issue which is, in my opinion, that the IP address supp**** by them is faulty (blacklisted).

When I push the issue hard enough, my call gets bumped to the back of the queue and I need to start over, or the line just goes dead. I can get no higher that the support tech in the organisation.

It really seems that my only option is to cancel my Afrihost subscription and go elsewhere.
