BAD SERVICE!!!
I'm not happy with Afrihost. Our controlling company has agreed to move hosting accounts to Afrihost, but the service is almost non existent. This is the second time that Afrihost is just removing domains from the shared hosting server. This morning when we've tried to check emails for a domain - the hosting on the domain was gone. It worked fine last week, but all of a sudden there is no ip for the domain, no hosting nothing. I've called, chatted online to try and resolve this and every time someone says it will be fixed in 1 hour. WHY ON EARTH would we have hosting one day and NOTHING the next day. We've considered moving all our hosting, adsl etc to Afrihost but taking this into consideration we are considering moving everything back to our previous supplier. Can you urgently let us know WHY we had hosting on the domain and then all of a sudden we had no hosting at ALL? The ref number is #WKX-***2
We've reviewed the events that took place with regards to the ticket that you logged.
The domain in question was previously hosted with an affiliate of Afrihost, which results in the domain being added to our DNS Cluster, when you signed-up for a new hosting package with us, the domain should have been automatically added to the DNS Cluster along with the appropriate records. However, as the domain already existed in the DNS Cluster, it could not be re-added. As per the ticket, our DNS Team assisted with updating the DNS to ensure that your domain resolved correctly.
Whilst the new DNS Propagated there may have been some form of downtime, but in future this will not occur again.
If you have any questions or queries with regards to your previously logged ticket or your above issue, please let us know directly via ***.
Kind Regards,
The Afrihost Team.
