Bad moon rising
Dear Gian Visser, Since my first (ever) review on Hello Peter Afrihost's ranking has gone down from a #18 to #21 in a week. I hope you are seeing some red flags and some warning signs so that you can save your ship before it sinks and all on board have to fend for themselves. Since my last post on this Facebook page I have had numerous calls, emails, facebook messages, and still I am stuck. I have canceled my service but still no release. I know what the problem is after calling Telkom, (numerous times) and some amazing help from another ISP I (the novice and the person who knows jack @@@@ about internet connections) has been able to identify that everything went south after an order (placed on 13th November) has not been finalised. - This order was to convert my line to dsl. Now, before you get all excited and say that is a Telkom issue. This order was placed by you (your company). - On the 27 th of November I received written confirmation from Telkom that my line has been converted to dsl. Yet this order is still pending. - Even after canceling my service with you. I have written reviews, screamed, begged, used everything in my ****nal possible. EVERYTHING. - I even had a complete break down yesterday and had my first panic attack in 2 years due to the (lack of) service I have received from Afrihost. Not only a lack of service from call center staff who were either rude, had a bad attitude or blatantly **** to me but also paying for a 20mbs line and only getting 10mbs. - Yes, I know that it was because the order from mid November is still pending that I was not receiving the proper speed. I just wish someone could have taken responsibility on the matter and treated me like a human being, one with an IQ above 55. I am not completely simple, I am able to identify lies and ways people and businesses use to buy time. - Passing the buck is one way. And you will be happy and proud to know your staff are pros at it. Not at any point did any one person admit that there is a mistake and attempt to fix it. After asking them to confirm something per email so that I can have it in writing and actually keep someone accountable they always kept it vague. As vague as possible. " We have escalated this query" ... blah blah blah Now, please understand that the reason I decided to leave Afrihost was not the lack of service (10mbs opposed to 20mbs) but rather the numerous lies. In November I received an email informing me that my line will be in order in 24 hours. Last week one of your 'pleasant' staff informed me that the copper quality of my landline is insufficient and I will never have a 20mbs line. I have been told there are 'no problems'. When even a novice could identify that having an internet connection while your system is telling them that the line has not been converted is problematic. I have been told that the call center agent will send the information via emails. I have had the most horrific run around from one company ever. I have been promised phone calls and call back from agents in your call center and your lovely sms rating service. - No calls up to date to discuss my bad experience. (I also logged two complaints with one of your staff members and when trying to follow the same procedure with the next - they had no clue what I was speaking about ). So either the first was lying or the second was ill informed or just didn't feel like it. It does not take a rocket scientist nor a business analyst to see that Afrihost is going down hill at a rapid speed. Mr Visser, have you recently viewed your Facebook wall? Have you recently seen the reviews on Hello Peter? Are you seeing the warning signs? I sincerely hope this plea reaches your eyes. As I have jumped ship. I have even gone so far as to give up hope and look for alternatives to dsl. Luckily I can do that from scratch without any Afrihost mess ups. - So no, I don't want anyone to contact me. I don't want to inbox you my details. You are clearly not able to help me. But should a supervisor or someone of importance be willing to call me with a sincere apology for wasting my time, energy and money that call I will take. I am writing to vent, I am writing as a warning, to you Mr. Visser, to possible clients who are thinking of using your company, to your employees who are reading this (maybe get your CV ready). - There seems to be a very bad moon rising for Afrihost and it's crew. - Remember you reap what you sow.
