BAD BAD BAD BAD COMMUNICATION AND SERVICE
According to Afrihost you need to get a voice line from Telkom, register with Afrihost and sit back until they sort out the rest - this is suppose to happen within 14 - 30 days.
When contacting Afrihost about our line a few days before the end of the 30 day period, we only received an email that it is only 25.53 days and we still need to wait out the 30 day period. It has now been more than 30 days and yet no one came back to me after I emailed several times. I decided to phone them just to find out that there is something wrong with our line, they never once informed us that there is an issue with the line and not even one of the people I contacted before the end of the 30 day period told me this, they only had the snotty remark that we need to wait as it is only 25.53 days.
After several hours has passed after my phone call to Afrihost they sent an email that there is an issue with our Telkom line and we need to sort it out with Telkom before our ADSL can work - according to the video on the Afrihost website THEY will deal with Telkom, now they want me to do it.
We don't have any internet (the only reason we registered for a Telkom line) and yet we need to pay for the Telkom line
If a Client signs up for one of the Afrihost Bundles, the only prerequisite you as the Client will need, is a basic Telkom voice line. Afrihost will then take care of the ADSL line installation and activation for you, along with any associated costs.
If there are any issues with the ADSL line, we will most assuredly handle the problem and ensure it is resolved fully, you will at no point need to correspond directly with Telkom. If there is any downtime due to a line fault, you will be reimbursed a pro-rata amount of your monthly line rental fee corresponding to the time your line was not accessible.
We have logged a fault with Telkom for your ADSL line, and we will escalate this as soon as possible.
If you have any questions or queries with regards to your line fault, you are welcome to contact us directly via ***.
Kind Regards,
The Afrihost Team.
