Avoid Afrihost at all costs.

I cancelled an Afrihost Fibre contract after more than 6 months with them. They are now stating that they are going to charge my account with R999.00 cancellation fee, even though this only applies to accounts with less than 6 months agreement. I haven't even used the service for about 4 months because I was overseas, but still paid. Most annoying, they appear to have hacked my internet account [I am using a prepaid SIM card until another provider can connect me and Port my Telkom line]. Whenever I click on a link, the only address that appears is Afrihost Clientzone login. As well as being extremely annoying, and probably *******, it is costing me additional data usage. If this is their standard practice for anyone leaving their services, they need to be hammered by the authorities. If it's not normal, they need to fix the problem and refund me for the costs and frustrations of their pathetic marketing.
