Average, unexceptional, mediocre - yes, you know what I mean . . .
Staff at the call centre are friendly and do their best to help. That said, they often default to nuclear solutions — for example, resetting the router back to factory default, wiping all settings. Another, far more serious "solution" they sometimes propose is connecting your PC directly to the ONT (fibre box), bypassing the router with it's built-in firewall and security protocols. In a world saturated with malware and viruses, this is terrible advice, even if your antivirus software is up to date. If that was a good idea, routers would come preconfigured as access points, simple wi-fi distribution devices. That suggestion is the equivalent of living in Gauteng with no perimeter wall or security measures in place, and leaving the door open when you're away.
