asked to buy LAN cable

i was asked to go buy a LAN capable because they need to rule out what could be an issue with my wifi, since when do i have to do that as a client. its been 2 hours and my connection is not restored, meaning i have missed meetings and important deadlines. i would definitely NOT recommend afrihost.
