Appalling Service and Poor Sense of Urgency
My Home Fiber went offline on Monday after using it for over 2 years, reached out to Afrihost via their WhatsApp service where is spoke to Musa K who was unhelpful and ask me to call Telkom. Spoke to a couple of agents after that which well all not helping as they could not identify the issue till I got through to Boston F who was very helpful as was able to troubleshoot and told me " I had to log a receive ownership of your Fibre to get Openserve to give us back the ownership of your Fibre line. They for some reason took back ownership so this is why the connection is not being made. The PPPoE details are correct and the router should be making a connection but that red light on the ONT box tells us that the fiber is not. Once the Fibre ownership is given back which should be within the next 48 hours if we push then we can get it back sooner, which we will do the connection will return" close quote. I told her I cannot wait that long I didn't authorize any change of service\ownership and have everything connected on wifi, from my security cameras, working from home setup to my children's home schooling, she then said she had escalated the case to her line manager and they will push for services to be reactivated in 24hours. this was on Monday the 12 April and till to date, I am still offline, when I follow up I'm getting inconsistent excuses and no solid turnaround time.
