Angry Customer of Afrihost

My husband and I have been with Afrihost since October 2020 and since then it's been problem after problem. So often that we are disconnected 1-3 days every week... And everytime we are disconnected, my husband and I phone in and get told the same things over and over but the connection problems remain the same.

We have called into the Afrihost call center and spoke to Tshego, Tshepo, Ayanda, Torbela and Amanda to name a few just in the past 2 weeks. Chatted on Afrihost whatsapp with consultants, Sent emails and even tried calling Vuma Tel but still nothing is done. All we get told is that Tickets have been logged for our "complaints"... To this day we have not received any follow up calls, emails or whatsapp messages. Nothing is done yet every month we get billed and our account is debited for the full amount.

My husband needs the wifi for his job and cannot work if there is no wifi... Last month he got paid half his salary, that's how much we were disconnected that he couldn't work for half the month... Yet when I call in to sort this problem out, I get told that a ticket has been logged and theres nothing they can do. They cannot phone Vuma reach who has laid the Fibre lines, the only way to contact them is via email and they have done that so we must wait for Vuma reach to contact us which could take 24 - 72 hours. And again none of their technicians have come out to see what the problem is or called us.

We have been disconnected since yesterday, this is now 2 days already and again I phoned in and got no assistance. This is now 2 days of work and income lost once again... Absolutely pathetic service.

I spoke to Amanda today via Afrihost call center and after voicing my anger and frustration about this never ending problem, she then had a attitude with me and told me "they have protocols to follow and it's been done. When I enquired about cancelling the service, she said 'I can if I want to, but I'm still gonna have the same problem with any other service provider I go with next'... Then I asked to speak with her supervisor and was put on hold for a few minutes, only to tell me that her supervisor is not available. And that I can email him... I mean is this a joke.... So I must do all the work to sort out your connection problems and pay you for it... So I email the supervisor Warren and the CEO of Afrihost, Gian Visser and still no response from either of them.

If this is the way you treat your customers, then just advertise that you want peoples money in return for causing problems with their lives and employment.
