Afrihost takes your money and then goes Afri-ghost John R

Afrihost takes your money and then goes Afri-ghost. So here I am trying to sign up to a so-called hassle free service. (that just means the hassle is included, or rather the Hustle as assisted by John R from Afri-ghost) Last night 18-05-2024 I tried to sign up for Afri-ghost Hustle free fibre. SO I go through the motions, check my coverage, etc etc, choose the line, add a router, enter my card details (Which these con-artists now have on file). Then I proceed to checkout. As per normal, the transaction (3DS) goes to my FNB app, I click approve, the R1.00 is taken off my account. And now here the ***** starts. So Afri-ghost's site says the transaction was declined, but clearly it went off my account. SO I try again, same thing. And one last time, same thing. So now this happened 3 times yesterday.

Enter the con-artist squad: This morning (19-05-2024) I contact hem on their whatsapp line. the first consultant keeps on asking me for the order number, which of course Afri-Host never sent me. SO they blame me (Shingile Shingini T was the name given to me). I request a call back. Next moment I get a call from John R, again asking me for the order number, so again, I still dont have it, and obviously they claim they cannot see it, and if John R cannot see it he can do nothing about it. SO we try another transaction. ( We are 1 hour in on this painstaking phone call). Again the same result. Money goes off, and Afrihost claims they know of nothing. After all of this, I decide that I cant do business with these people, as they have my money (as little as it may be) and claim they know nothing. SO I ask John R to escalate it to accounts, he sys that no, I have to contact them in the morning. Oh hell no. He can escalate this. A few minutes after the call he rings me up again to say that he requested a call back for me. Between 0800 and 0830 tomorrow morning. Sorry John R I am in a meeting then. And I ask did you escalate this? He rep****, NO he requested a call back. It is clear that Afrihost is not serious about customers, even at the moment when they decide to fork out money. I have now shown him exactly what happens. And still I have to follow up? Did I miss the part where I was appointed as in integrator at Afrihost? I will give then a fair chance, 7 days guys to resolve this, then Im going to ICASA. The ball is in your court, with my money and my car details. ( I had to cancel the card on my app again costing me money. ) So Lets see what they do with this.
