AFRIHOST TAKE MONEY WITHOUT DELIVERING THE GOODS

I have been an Afrihost client and generally have found their service to be fairly good, although like many new "internet" cultured companies, they too like to hide their management and support people away behind technology like Whatsapp etc - anything to actually avoid having to liaise with actual irritating humans. Because of their service, and because they host my site, I decided to try and get fibre from them - their website was one of the few that said they could supply. I took them at their word and made application. The next day they hit my account with over R 1000 - no sign of any trenching in our area - no plans for installation, no ETA, not even any contact advising us when - if ever - they were going to deliver. And if that is not bad enough, the next day I get a letter threatening me that my account is in arrears.

What kind of business does this sort of thing?

Is this normal? Pay now and hit the queue.

I am sorry but that is not how I want to do business.

You can take your fibre and shove it so hard your eyes water.
