Afrihost **** sham

According to the bold advertising on Afrihost's website, they offer up to R4000 free installation, connection and router. Another claim they make is that it usually takes one week for installation to be completed. My installation process was a nightmare. I placed my order on 21 August 2018 and exactly 3 months later my order was finally connected on 21 November 2018. Now I have just received an invoice from Vumatel for an installation fee of R1725. According to Afrihost, the free installation offer they are STILL advertising on their website actually ended in March 2018. NOWHERE on their website or in any of my communication with Afrihost did they ever say there would be an installation fee of this amount. If I had known, I would never have signed up with them; or put up with the shockingly bad service from Vumatel during the installation process. Now, less than 3 months after my 4Mbps package with Afrihost was activated, I have received an email saying that my package is no longer available, and I will have to pay more for a bigger package. This is NOT what I signed up for. Their company is a complete **** and they clearly give zero ** about their customers as they cannot even bother to reply to a single complaint on hello peter. I am writing this review to hopefully educate others of what they will be signing up for if they choose Afri****.
