Afrihost ripped me off

I have been a Afrihost customer for 4 years and 3 months and never had an issue until I tried getting fiber. Sit back and relax this is going to be a long story.

It all started when I ordered Fiber on the 11th of Nov 2019. I was so excited leaving Telkom and paying less for internet... i was wrong. nothing could prepare me for this experience over a January.

Firstly I had issues placing an installation order with Vumatel where someone placed a order on my address and i could not continue with the order untill we get that resolved. Now this was not Afrihost's fault so ill move on.

I canceled my ADSL like with Afrihost (last date was December 2019)because I thought i was getting Fiber. I then canceled the cancellation order so I can still have internet through January on my ADSL but the order already when through to Telkom and they stopped my line. I did cancel the cancellation it in a time frame that was suitable for a reinstatement for the line but they told me telkom already canceled the line and proceeded to still charge me for the ADSL. I was on the line with Telkom to fix it but on the 3rd of Jan it was completely off. I did accept my fate and wanted to get my money back at least from Afrihost because i payed for something it did not receive and I did not get my money back for the ADSL.

I finally got my fiber on the 21st of January 2020 and then they proceeded to deduct my account for the fiber on the 24th of Jan... Now I am like most people who does not have money in my account on that time. and Now i have a extra bank charge of R120 for a failed payment on top of the ADSL that was about R800+.

This all could be forgiven if they just did not ignore me and updated me but it seems like they will take as much as they can and provide as little as possible.

I wish i could get my money back but i will have to accept the fact that they stole it from me.

I'm going to VOX. Lets hope they don't ***** my money.
