Afrihost pathetic service

I took out a pure DSL package at the start of July 2020. Everything regarding the delivery of the router and the openserve technician coming out went smoothly.

My frustrations started soon after.

Events:

To date (28-07-2020), this service is not activated.

I received an email stating the router will arrive "pre-configured". The modem arrived with no configuration done. I've been trying for days using the online chat to get the router settings, every time i get a different response with varying detail, all of which has been unhelpful. Some of the advice from these consultants don't even apply to the modem that i bought.

The final decision to cancel came from a discussion i had with a consultant named Kuli M. The consultant and I arranged for someone from technical support to call at 7:00pm on the 27-07-2020. The call came in after 10:00pm !!!, and when asked why the call is made at this time, the agent was very rude, said sorry and cut the call!. Finally, the support tickets that i created on the client zone are still unanswered!

I regret my decision in going with Afrihost, their support is terrible.
