afrihost, one of the worst experiences of my life

I wish I could give zero stars.... But here we go. Brace yourself for this.

I signed up with Afrihost in 2017 using their LTE package with RAIN, no issues what so ever, I was actually so happy with that service that I recommended it to friends and peers... 8 months later, I was told about Afrihost now joining with Cell C and their packages were almost half the price compared to the RAIN packages, and that I should try out the Cell C instead! Getting double the data for the same price.

Here is where the craziness started.

1: You are unable to migrate packages from RAIN to cell C, meaning, you have to cancel your RAIN package, and sign up for a new Cell C sim only package and have the sim delivered. I got the cell C sim, needless to say the cell C service was absolutely horrible and dropped connection all the time, I used it for 2 days and I didnt want it anymore as it was not sufficient. I was then told that I cannot go back to my Rain package and would need to sign up for a new RAIN package again. But would first have to pay R999 to cancel my Cell C sim card that I am not happy with. I fought and argued the consumer protection act for weeks to avoid paying so much money for something I am not happy with. Eventually they decided to reverse the charge and let me have my rain package again. I was sort of satisfied with them again and decided to also use them to sign up for fibre which was being installed in my area.

2: I had the fibre installed, got the router, and paid Vumatel directly to install my fibre and give me my object number. My fibre was connected on 20 December. on 25 December they told me to pay them R800 wich was my installment, to use my fibre of 5 days old. Cool, I pay them the installment and assume that that is my monthly installment, right? wrong! 5 days later, they try debit my account with another R800 again, meaning I am now paying R1600 for a total of 10 days of fibre usage, the agreed installment was R800 a month. I was furious!

I have now had it with afrihost honestly and the worst part is you cant communicate with anyone, they dont respond to their mails, they dont answer their phones and they are insanely rude.

I then decided, ***** it, I am done with them, I will be using another ISP. Surprise Suprise, Afrihost is now holding the object number from Vumatel, which I paid for personally, hostage, untill I pay them this insane double amount...

So now I am without internet, I cannot sign up with anyone else without my object number, and I cannot get my own object number which I paid for and should own, because Afrihost want their money, which is not the amount we agreed upon.
