Afrihost not treating customers fairly

I contacted Afrihost to complain about our internet buffering frequently while streaming DSTV.

The person, Katlego M, assisting me recommended replacing my D-link router with a new HUAWEI WiFi AX3 Dual-Core router to solve the problem. He said that Afrihost could offer it to me at a cost of +/- R 1400 (including delivery). Takealot however offers this router at R 999 (including delivery). something R 1400 including delivery. I've then noticed that Afrihost and various other providers offer to new clients the offer of free router and installation deal when they sign-up.

Please note that I've been a loyal client with Afrihost for the last 6 years from Oct 2016 and was even prepared to sign a 24 month contract should they offer me the same deal as first time clients - i.e. a new router for free. I would not like to spend in excess of R 1000 on a new router when Afrihost and other providers offer this for free to new clients.

I believe it is unfair that Afrihost does not offer a free router to loyal customer, when the router is due for an upgrade, but are prepared to do so for new customers.

I've paid more than R 30000 in subs over the past 6 years. Afrihost is prepare to lose me as a client, but are happy to offer deal to clients they have no relationship with.

Obviously I am very disappointed that Afrihost does not value my relationship or money of the past 6 years.

I will most certainly consider other providers.
