Afrihost no help

Endless fibre disconnection issues, works intermittently but has 0 upload speed, making sending mails impossible. Help lines keep telling us to turn off router and ONT and wait 5mins and reconnect, yes we are well aware, that's the only way we briefly get connection. Also keep getting told to plug our laptop/Mac straight into the ONT, there are no ports for this.

It's not the router, have got a new one, all cables changed around numerous times, different power sources used. Been told Vuma won't come out unless there is a problem with ONT, Afrihost unable to tell me if there is a problem with ONT.

Maybe I should break the ONT with a hammer? That should certainly be a "problem"?
