AFRIHOST NEW FIBRE CLIENT WORST SERVICE IMAGINABLE - 4.5 WEEKS IN NO INTERNET
Absolutely horrible service and to a new client as well. Be warned this is a lengthy story Fibre order was done online very easily I actually felt impressed. I could not have been more wrong the **** had just started.
SADV was chosen as the installers and the installations instructions was sent from Afrihost to SADV with me only getting a message that I will be contacted within 2 weeks for installation.
10 days later having not heard anything I phoned SADV directly only to find out that my order was for the wrong unit and the contact number on their records is not the number I provided, Afrihost had send me a confirmation email upon ordering which reflects my contact details this was correct,
so I phoned Afrihost only for them to apologize that an error was made after another day of contacting back and forth mostly again from my side it was determined that a new order needs to be placed as the only method to correct the address issue on SADV.
This new order was done by Afrihost and I was promised it would not take another 14 days. 5 days went by with no contact from either company so I phoned SADV first only to find out that this time with the second order the physical address and email was correct but again the same unknown phone number so nobody had contacted me as they only work on phone calls.
After another day of me phoning back and forth the details were fixed and installations was arranged. the installation was done and I was told by 5pm that day that it would be active it is now the next day, still inactive and nobody is willing to help me I keep getting promised I will be phoned back but nothing ever happens.
in a last attempt I even used the WhatsApp chat from Afrihost hoping it could be of assistance. Refer to the attached chat to see the unwillingness from the Afrihost agent to sort it out.
I eventually got fedup with his response and phoned SADV again myself only to be told that Afrihost has to phone fix it. Other Afrihost Fibre support members with horrible service: Zinay (Supervisor) Kabelo (operator, whom by the way **** after claiming he contacted SADV to fix contact details at the end of the day when I phoned nothing was updated). I never got phoned back in time and only managed to confirm that SADV needs to come back again to finish of the installation while spending another 45minutes on line with Afrihost. Nothing happens at Afrihost without you purposely put yourself in the middle of Afrihost and whichever installer you chose and I urge anyone to do that.
The cherry on top of course is that again no-one can confirm when they will come to fix it.
