Afrihost, making your security issues my problem? #thinkagain

Afrihost holds a few of my websites.

I recently wrote in to the support team about a website of mine having a security certificate issue. (http vs https). The detailed response was that i must somehow ask/expect every single person who visits my site to manually log the URL as 'safe'. 1. This is counterproductive from a UX point of view. 2. Nobody is going to take the time to do that (even if they understand the process and feel safe with it) 3. This is not in line with the latest industry best practice. 4. Why is Afrihost not offering free conversion like other (more competitive) hosts?

I am considering a new service provider.
