Afrihost just as ******* as the rest - STAY AWAY FROM THEM

On 25/06/2018 I signed up for the 25GB LTE sim only deal where Afrihost pretends to give you the first month data free. I didn't see the very fine print where they say it will be pro-rata data if you sign up on the 25th of the month. I received only 5GB FREE. Plus I received the sim card only on the 28th of June via courier. If they were at all ethical they would have made my start date 1 July. BUT NO!

When they immediately sent me an invoice for a full month's data I realised I was **********. I cancelled immediately but then they made me agree to pay R999 for cancelling within 6 months. I have NOTHING to show for this R999 - a useless sim card. I haven't even touched the pathetic 5GB. THEN yesterday afternoon out of the blue on 16/07/2018 they suddenly decided this is the day they will take this money from me. What happened to the 1st of the month or the last day of the month?!!! Some people do work with a budget. They charged the R999 directly from my cheque account and later that evening send me an invoice. Why in the middle of the month?! Without any notice?!! I have cancelled my mobile data accounts with them as well. I will never use any of their products ever again!!!!! It seems like Afrihost is just as ******* as the rest having to resort to thieving to earn income. What happened to a cooling-off period?! According to the Consumer Protection Act a consumer have 5 -7 days to cancel without any penalties. I want a refund and I want it YESTERDAY!!
