Afrihost Installation Delays – Still No Wi-Fi

I ordered Fibre from Afrihost on the 24th of January, and as of today, my Wi-Fi is still not up and running. They did not contact me at all during the week for the installation—I had to follow up myself. When I finally called them, they delivered the router, but I then had to send them photos so they could forward them to Octotel to provision the line. Now they claim they’re waiting for Octotel and can’t do anything else from their side.

I also had to open a support ticket (Ticket: FAV-***3) just to get them to even look at my installation, which should have been handled without me chasing them. Afrihost is not proactive at all, and if I hadn’t contacted them multiple times, my installation would still be completely stalled. Be prepared for them to take more than a week just to install your Wi-Fi—and you’ll have to do all the follow-ups yourself.

That being said, I’d like to compliment Kagiso T at Afrihost for his assistance yesterday—he was helpful and did what he could on a Saturday. However, he could only do so much. Unfortunately, Afrihost’s poor service means I am still without Wi-Fi.
