Afrihost increased their prices by 14% due to the 0.5% VAT increase

I find it absolutely ridiculous that Afrihost would use the VAT increase as a way to up their bottom line. I received a notice that they price will increase form 1 May due to the VAT rate increase. the exact wording on the email was "The Minister of Finance announced a VAT rate increase of 0.5%. As a result, the price of your product(s) will increase accordingly. The price increase will take effect from 01 May 2025." - I get my invoice and the increase is 14%. I contact their support staff who are also under the impression that the increase will be 0.5%.
