Afrihost - Don't bother unless you want HORRID service and support!!

I recently asked Afrihost to delete my personal information from their system, but they refused, claiming they need to keep it for auditing for up to 6 years. This feels ***** to me, especially considering I was merely investigating signing up to their mobile service that I think cancelled due to poor service before receiving a SIM and making use of the service in any way.

I’ve asked numerous times and have dealt with four different support personnel within the span of a week, often being asked the same questions that the prior personnel had already asked. The support I received was minimal and lacked attention to detail. The empathy I encountered felt very rehe****d and insincere.

I understand that some information might need to be kept for legal reasons, but surely they can remove my profile, name, address, and payment details? The lack of transparency and poor customer service is really frustrating. They didn’t even explain exactly why they need to keep all my data. All they did was refer me to an incredibly lengths Terms & Conditions section.

Afrihost, you need to step up your game. Customers should have total control over their profiles, and it should be their decision to leave your ******* company whenever they want to.
