Afrihost bait and hook tactics.. Shame on you Afrihost!

January 2020 fibre is being layed in our road, March 2020 we contact Afrihost who tell us fibre is live in our complex and place our order, a week later the modem arrives and out of excitment we open the box, look at the modem and pack it away. We are now in March 2021 and fibre has still not been installed in our unit. We are now moving into a complex that 100% has live fibre (I know this as I have friends with fibre in the property through Mweb) So I call Afrihost 2 x last week and it's back and forth on wether or not the complex has the infrastructure installed. I request the order be cancelled and I am told I will have to cover the cost of the modem... So after a few words the consultant says the order has been sent to Vumatel and I will recieve a mail on the weekend confirming the installation. Fast forward to Monday and hey guess what, I'm on a 45min call of which +25min is me being on hold because there is no infrastructure in the complex where I know 100% there is. I cannot believe a company can offer a service yet are unable to fulfill. I will be removing my domains and hosting away from Afrihost, cancelling my fibre order and I will not be paying for a modem that was sent as a bait and hook tactic!
