Afrihost Advertise Rock solid Reliable Network that cant be uphold

Good Day all readers,

Well where do I start, We had a Brilliant service delivery from Afrihost when we joined their network, we had the Rain package that they had going at the time for R850pm for 85GB data we had no problem with that package or the service that we got,

but the fun started when they advertised the Cell C bundle where you got 200GB Data for R845pm, so that is a much better package to get for money =Data, and I did a Comparison between the two packages with no difference between the two packages, so I went for the Cell C package because there were no differences in the Two packages but the amount of data that is provided.

The first half of Nov 2018 everything went smooth the same as the Rain package with between 5mbps- 30mbps never below that, but round about the 14-16th of Nov-2018 the Latency started dropping, on the 18 -Nov -2018 my latency dropped as low as 0.22mbps you cannot even open a mail with that, that is how low it got hence my first call to Afrihost, were by I followed the consultants request on changing router settings restarting and so forth... while still on the line with the consultants the latency gets back to its normal work load of above 5mbps , 30 min later it drops down again, the consultant said he will raise a query at Cell C their service provider and get back to me. No call back from Afrihost.

I gave the benefit of the doubt to Afrihost to solve the problem I am having, by the good service I received thus far, so my next follow up call was on the 5 December 2018 where I held on to the line with a consultant for 15min trying to fix the latency problem I am having re-doing the router setting , rebooting, restarting and so on with no Joy, consultant said they will escalate the problem thru a different channel to Cell C that would become active the next day for quicker response time, so being the consumer have to take it on the cheek and wait.

During the course of December 2018 we had spikes and dip in latency it went as low as 0.12mbps and then spiked up to 59mbps at times, this being the holidays my kids used the opportunity to down load games, play online games and watch movies on you tube and so on...

On 3 Jan 2019 the latency dropped to 0.45mbps and didn’t recover from that at all, I have a full 30 min voice recording with a consultant just referring back to the supervisor that you can never talk to , that is in communications with Cell C about their Latency problem.

So I called back on the 7 Jan 2019 when they cut my service because I told them that I am not paying for a service that was promised when I joined and I am not receiving it, so the cut the service, I don't know if that issue will be resolved as I never had a call back from Afrihost reassuring me as a client that my account matters, and doesn't look like Cell C responds to their queries. sorry but it doesn't take one and a half a month solving a latency issue, im smack dab in the middle of the reception area so there should be latency issues, and Afrihost stop advertising a product that you know have issues.

So here is it from me Afrihost has only got the Cell C deal now, you CAN make an educated choice on what I told you here
