ADSL Upgrade Calamity

Below is my latest letter to Afrihost describing the horror show. I have been a client of Afrihost for many years, but the last few months have had me scratching my head as I have been gobsmacked at the poor/non-existent level of support.

"Dear sir/madam,

It has been nearly 3 months since I made the request to upgrade our existing ADSL line. Based first on your line test information and support advice, the order was placed for the upgrade to 20mbps VDSL. It unfortunately turned out that you were not able to supply the originally quoted speed. Even though you were not forthcoming in supplying this information timely, i.e. I had to lodge numerous requests for feedback on the matter, you also failed to provide any meaningful remedial action following your failed installation, not even an attempt to alleviate the costs I unnecessarily incurred following your ill advice (i.e. the purchase of a VDSL router, which is now useless). Still, I persisted in asking that the order be amended to the available 10 mbps ADSL. To date, no further action has been reported on regarding this order.

You have now unfortunately reached the limit of my seemingly boundless patience. I will be forwarding this email to all other departments at Afrihost for which I can obtain contact information, and continue to do so until I am satisfied with a response that measures up to the high quality customer care that you so like to advertise.

If I were to be spared any overly friendly responses with lots of smiley faces and apologies for the poor service provided thus far, and rather be limited to addressing the plethora of issues I have continuously raised, I will perhaps endeavour to revise my estimate of your pitiful service from "stupendously pathetic" to "merely pathetic" . But only perhaps.

Holding my breath.

Regards."
