Admin Charges
hi,<br> <br> There was a problem processing the payment at the beginning of August on my credit card by [URL Removed] which had nothing to do with my credit card and all to do with [URL Removed] and their systems. Due to this I was charged a sneaky R5 Admin Charge, which when I complained was reversed - They have charged many more customers previously.<br> <br> Then another R5 charge was declined, which my bank is checking on why this has happened, as I had sufficient credit available for the transaction to go through. This resulted in an Admin Charge of R20.<br> <br> [URL Removed] are refusing to reverse the charge which I have felt is exorbitant considering that the amount was R5 that was to be charged and it is the first decline to be done on my long standing account.<br> <br> Hope other customers of [URL Removed] check their statements as these sneaky Admin charges may fall through the cracks and you end up paying extra.

We are sorry that you feel this is an unfair practice. This is by no means sneaky, this is clearly mentioned in Section 10 of our General Terms and Conditions and is a standard practice for non-payment for services contracted.
Our Terms and Conditions clearly spell out that we will levy escalating fees for failed payments, due to the penalties which Afrihost is liable for from our banking institution. In some cases, particularly where a client has a proven good payment history, we are willing to absorb these costs. However, when a client has shown repeated failure to make payment, these charges are due and must be settled in full.
You will need to liaise with your bank to avoid further non-payment incidents or investigate alternate payment methods to avoid further charges and possible suspension of services due to non-payment.
