A loud sucking sound...

How annoying and disappointing it is when you at first think you've done the right thing to move to a company that seems to be 'with it'. (I should have checked on HelloPeter first.) It's not been 2 months and I've already got problems that they refuse to address: My credit card is expiring at the end of November (yes it is still valid!), and because of that they have blocked me from seeing my account details, including how much data and airtime is left on the SIM cards, and I also can't load any data... not until I load new payment details. But I haven't got my new credit card yet - the bank hasn't received it. And there is more: I have no recurring payments with Afrihost anyway, so why block my card? So I'm stuck. Somebody there at Afrihost didn't think this one through properly. Rediculous to be punished like a child in such a way these days.

That's not the worst though. Try phoning Afrihost. They pass you from one department to another, keep you holding on the line for ages, no manager wants to speak to you - you're stuck with the poor call center person who hasn't got much authority to do anything for you but log a call. It's a shame. I spoke to Temba at accounts who knows he can't help you and wants to get rid of you as soon as he can. Shaun didn't make an impression. Vinay really wanted to help and was very friendly. But you quickly realise you never get to speak to anyone who really can help you. Afrihost is not a customer-centered company. In contrast, I've been with Axxess for ages and have never had a single complaint against them - the call center person you speak to usually sorts out your issue without passing you around.
