8Mbps pathetic speed

<p>Can someone please explain to how on Gods green earth I am getting such pathetic speed from a 8Mb line?????</p> <p> </p> <p>2.24Mbps down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!</p> <p>0.62 up (which is about right)</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>I have been struggling with Afrihost to resolve this matter for more than a year, with no result to show.</p> <p>I have replaced hardware (2x PC's [numerous reloads] 4x routers etc) just to find a plausible solution.</p> <p>the fact of the matter is this problem first cropped up when I lived in Kriel, then I was told it must be the line..... then I moved to Centurion, STILL the problem persisted. Port resets galore followed with me doing countless speed tests but no must be the line....... no I live in Secunda and guess what STILL the issues.....</p> <p> </p> <p>I'm very sorry but it can't still be the ****** lines....... the only variable that hasn't changed is Afrihost</p>
