Promised Service Till Renewal, Shut Down in 2 Days
Name: Imran Shaikh (Sense Softech) Email: *** Rating: 1 star Title: Account closed immediately despite notice promising service until renewal date Review: I hosted a VPS with Absolute Hosting for my software business. I had ongoing RDP connectivity problems, and after I posted a Google review about my experience, things escalated quickly. On 10 October 2026, I received a termination email (Ticket ***). It said my services would continue until my next renewal date. Within two days, however, my client account showed as "Closed" and my VPS was inaccessible, with about 20 paid days still remaining. I was given no time to migrate or download my data. I have emailed them asking for a pro-rata refund for the unused period and am waiting for a response. Fortunately I had my own full backup, so no data was lost. Anyone considering Absolute Hosting should keep independent backups, as service may be cut off without warning, even after a written notice period. Thank you.

Ticket *** I have hosted a VPS server with Absolute Hosting since 2024 December. My VPS was terminated due nonpayment and after 17 days of downtime they claim that the data is permanently deleted and nothing can be done to restore the VPS. the claim to have a data restore option but when needed they can't help.

***ards!
I am publicly rescinding my positive review of Absolute Hosting. If you want to deal with a bunch of spineless individuals with ***ardice in each action - then sign up with them. They abruptly and without warning deactivated our services due to "abuse". Why? Since it's a Shared Hosting platform and they couldn't process/handle our email volume. Our communication is 100% Legal. Pathetic bunch. Instead of attempting to resolve our problems, they punt Sales in their tickets. They even expected us to pay to restore services and we literally told to "promise" not to relay/send mail anymore. Do these tools realise how email flow works? They cap you at a ridiculous SMTP level, something like a few hundred emails per hour - so we use our own SMTP provider, then they say we're abusing their Servers because we're relaying. We aren't relaying squat - it's SMTP. It's fine, at least I can work from 8:00 to 16:00 - then BLIKSEM an emergency migration until 23:00 - same day. Never again. Inept, *********** ***ARDS!

Avoid Absolute Hosting - You have been warned!
Avoid this company at all costs. I cancelled my service with Absolute Hosting a number of times yet they continue to debit my account and do not respond to any correspondence. 8 months later and I'm still paying.

Avoid for business use: Premature server termination and obstructed domain transfers.
1. Premature Service Termination: I had a server with Absolute Hosting for 2 years. Despite paying for the full month, they unannouncedly shut down my server 5 days before the end of the term. This took my clients' websites offline without warning. When I contacted support, they refused to restart the services, claiming the "term had ended" despite the calendar month not being over. 2. Bureaucratic Obstacles: Every simple request required a minimum of 4 emails and exhaustive "detailed explanations" for why I wanted to make changes to my own services. The level of red tape for basic administrative tasks is unacceptable for a modern hosting provider. 3. Obstructing Domain Transfers: After I renewed three .co.za domains (paying them in full), they immediately app**** a clientTransferProhibited lock to prevent me from moving them to a new provider. There is no Registry-level requirement for this lock on renewals; it was a manual hurdle placed by the ISP. I only managed to get the lock removed by threatening a formal complaint to the ZARC (ZA Registry Consortium). Final Verdict: If you value your uptime and your right to own your data, look elsewhere. Their "security" is used as a tool for customer retention rather than customer protection.

Ludacris low prices, and ridiculous good service
I have been using this hosting company for a year, after moving from a Web host that did not support DotNet Core. They're so low - I wish to pay more. Their response to customer tickets is very fast. I have logged many support tickets, and their support team has consistently resolved them. I can't wait for when they have GPU machines as well so I can crunch data on their good services.

Feel a bit mislead by the support
Friendly enough staff but rather disappointed in that I have to pay for hosting, after support told me they can help me transfer my settings etc. only to find out that no, they can't, I have to do everything myself anyway. So now I've prepaid for a month of hosting while I cancelled within minutes as I found out I have to migrate everything myself anyway and their setup is very confusing.
