Workmanship left to be desired
Vumatel Britelink Mct Webafrica Afrihost
References: Vumatel *** + ***0 Webafrica 198909 + 198932 + 202627 + 205325 BritelinkMCT numerous calls and physical visit Afrihost: AfriHost OVR-***
Its been almost a year of this long short story. Installation was done. I was not present at this installation. Fast forward as much as the workmanship when the installation was done was clean I cannot for the life of me can understand how an installation would be done high up a wall. Could we have not ran one complete tube? Take into consideration all of the elements of our surroundings in Phoenix, ******s etc.
Dante from BritelinkMCT's, service leaves much to be desired. Manager Tasvir on the other hand seems to be trying his best to get the providers to play the game.
Afrihost consultant Anthony does not understand complaints or the request to speak to a manager, it's been 2 weeks since I'm waiting for his manager who went on lunch to come back and call me.
Vumatel Phindiwe escalated this matter till her face went blue. She was even disappointed that she has to wait for higher powers to solve.
Afrihost was supposed to log this as a new order so that a new reinstallation can take place. Low and behold Afrihost ignored Vuma's reference ***0, AfriHost OVR-***.
The story gets better, while with Webafrica I probably logged faults every month for the last year, sometimes 3 and 4 disconnection faults in a space of one month due to the installation. Get this, you can only whatsapp them. There is no contact number to call. So, if whatsapp is down your fibre is to. There is no way to reach the ISP. Eventually after 6 months of asking for help I left.
Here I am now willing to pay to solve my own problem, paying for a new installation but not what Dante quoted which was in the 1000's - even asked him out aloud if he is mad. However the most bizarre thing is when I spoke to Afrihost today, the agent said that Vuma is not working the area due to rioting and protesting 🤣their technicians are worried for their safety 👀 I asked her where. Is there something we all should know? Or a memo? We also need to worry then for this anticipated rioting or invisible one.
Conclusion: It's taken me over a year with tattered patience to come out and tell this story because the people with titles really don't care. They really care about the R530 every month but they will leave you unanswered with bull**** workmanship, a battered line and pathetic customer service, but I still sit with my fibre line's ass hanging out just waiting for the red ONT light to go on and off 🤡
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the installation issue and appreciate your patience as we work towards a resolution.
We understand your dissatisfaction with the installation completed over two years ago and the subsequent damage caused by external factors. While we strive to deliver high-quality installations, unforeseen circumstances, such as wildlife interference (In your case ******s damaging the infrastructure), can sometimes affect the integrity of our work.
Upon reviewing your case, we noted that the original installation is now outside of our standard three-month warranty period. Typically, any reinstallation or repairs would incur a charge. However, we genuinely value your feedback and your continued trust in our services.
Despite your installation no longer being under warranty, our Service Delivery Manager has proactively engaged with your ISP to discuss possible coverage for the reinstallation.
In light of your concerns, we propose a shared-cost approach for the reinstallation. We are willing to cover half of the expenses, demonstrating our commitment to resolving the issue and ensuring your satisfaction while adhering to our policies.
We hope this solution reflects our dedication to addressing your concerns and maintaining the high service standards you expect from us.
Our Service Delivery Manager will be in contact with you regarding this.
