*****ulent transactions from Zulzi
My 95-year-old grandmother who lives at a old age home has her bank account debited for over R2000 worth of what we dont know. When we started to enquire about the transaction all they say is POPi Act. These people dont understand the act and are trying to hide behind it. sorry to say but this just sounds like another ****! We will be opening a case of ***** with the police against Zulzi!

09 May 2025, 11:08You do not seem to understand the POPIA act! How can the person whose bank account that was affected be the 3rd party? A private company who has obtained a person's details is obliged to disclose that information to the affected person. Go read the act.
We have already contacted the Bank they will follow their path,
I am currently busy lodging an official complaint with the Information Regulator.
Once we have the necessary information we will be opening a case with the police, against the part or parties.
Im still waiting for a reply to my email for a senior/competent person to get back to me.

You do not seem to understand the POPIA act! How can the person whose bank account that was affected be the 3rd party? A private company who has obtained a person's details is obliged to disclose that information to the affected person. Go read the act.
