Damage to Driveway

I was approached by one of the foremen of the contractor who is trenching and laying your fibre infrastructure in our road in Newlands East, Durban on the Friday of the 10th of September 2021. He requested to trench between existing saw-cuts in my driveway, as he was reluctant to drive below it, as there are electrical services below ground in the vicinity. I was assured that the driveway will be reinstated, and re-tarred by Wednesday 15 September 2021, yet till today this has not been done.

I had specifically stated that my agreement to the trenching being was conditional - on condition that the reinstatement is done immediately, as the driveway is frequently used, and we are in the rainy season - therefore it is easy for the backfill to wash away.

The backfill has subsequently washed away, forming a ditch, and compromising the integrity of the adjacent asphalt.

I want the reinstatement of my driveway made a priority and completed by this week!
