Zonefitness sales people are always misleading customers and they never reveal everything before you sign their contract.
I signed a contract in 2016 of 2 years with Zonefitness in Cape Town Western Cape . Last year I was going home to Eastern Cape for holidays and when I signed this contract I was made aware that I am able to freeze it for a period of 2 months if I am out of town. When I wanted to freeze the account it was a lot of hustle but they ended up freezing it for 1 month.
Now I have recently relocated to Eastern Cape and I have decided to terminate my contract because I no longer go to the gym and there is no Zonefitness in Eastern Cape. According to the contract that I signed I was well aware that my contract will be ending in July. I spoke to Chantal and told her I want to terminate my contract, she counted 60% of the remaining months that I have to pay for. On her calculations it stated that I am left with 9 months which was very confusing to me because I know of 8 months not 9. I asked her why is it 9 months how is she calculating she said my contract is ending in August not July. I asked how is that possible she told me the month I froze my account does not fall away I have to pay for it again at a later stage.
This came as a shock to me because when I signed the contract no one made me aware of that even the lady that helped me with the freezing never mentioned it so who is suppose to be liable for the extra month now? I am not happy with their service I always have a bad customer experience with them and I feel they never reveal important information to customers before they sign their contract therefore I refuse to pay for the extra month. They are always in shopping malls asking for people to join zonefitness when do they make time to explain and educate customers about their brand. They are not transparent to customers and I regret signing a contract with them. I will still terminate the contract but I will not pay for that extra month.
