Zone Fitness WHY SHOULD I ASK FOR PERMISSION TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT WHEN MY CONTRACT HAS ENDED???

I has a 2 year contract with Zone fitness, as it has come to and end i would like to close it, i have requested for the account to be closed on the 03 September 2019 , as the consultant told me to when i called one of the branches, i have received an email confirming that one of the consultants will give me a call that same day on the 03 September 2019 before close of business.

I am still waiting for this call, as i do not want the contract to go over to a month to month basis and have them deduct money from my account.
