Zone fitness *******

I had signed up for a 12 month contract with Zone fitness which was suppose to end May 2018. We are in September and they are still debiting my account. I explained to the accounts lady that there is a reason we sign a contract to a specific date and for it to cancel as per the expiry date on the contract. She explained that I need to go into the gym and give notice in writing! Really! I have to go all the way there??!! My contract ended! I feel like I am being **********! What is the point in signing up for there contracts when the payment just continue to carry on even if its expired. You don't let me continue visiting the Gym after I stop paying, Why do you continue to debit my account of my contract has ended and I no longer attend!
