Zone fitness making the rules ?
Well now where does one start , in June of 2019 I signed a 2 year zone fitness contract , then covid happened and we weren’t allowed to gym during level 5 lockdown. Zone fitness didn’t deduct the funds, however the question I have is where does a gym get to stop a payment due to covid and then proceed as soon as the lockdown allows for the use of gyms again and then extend the contract period? Are all the gyms doing this ? The problem now arises that my contract keeps getting extended by a month every time lockdown occurs. Covid will be around for some time to come so where do we draw the line and say the 24-27 months is now over cancel my contract. Are we as clients being held at ransom because nowhere did we ever sign any consent to either extend our contract or for zone fitness to make their own decisions by telling us that due to covid we will be extending but we will not be deducting your account during this period . So in essence covid is determining our contract length and zone fitness is riding the wave.
