Zone fitness hatfield

I had a month to month gym membership with zonefitness hatfield last year and I was told that I can cancel it at anytime and I went to cancel the membership last year in November ,now I’m getting calls from their lawyers saying I need to pay them an outstanding amount that I don’t know of.
