Zone Fitness Gym is rotten

I made the worst mistake when I joined this gym last year in October while I was visiting Pretoria. I explained to the consultant that I would only be there for a month. However, in January I received a call stating that I'd missed payments from Nov - Jan, after explaining my situation to a consultant. They told me to write and email to cancel my membership and that is exactly what I did. In Feb I received another call stating that I was now behind on four payments (I keep getting calls from different agents btw). Someone rep**** to confirm that they would cancel my membership but I was still being harassed. Yesterday, I then received an SMS that they have handed me over to their lawyers. At this point I haven't received any formal communication with a statement/outstanding balance. Every consultant that calls gives me a different balance. To say that Zone Fitness is unprofessional would be an understatement. I regret associating myself with them.
