Unreasonable Claim

I joined your Gym in June of 2016 signing a 2 year contract ending June 2018. I went on to use your service for a year and a half after which I stopped coming to Gym. I did keep paying the account for a further 6 months without ever attending Gym for that period. After expiring, my contract was kept active and further debit orders were processed. When I realized this I reversed what I could as I was not using the Gym anymore.

Now with all that said why am I getting Attorneys on my case stating I owe R684. Like really. I paid for months without using the service and when my contract ended you still kept on taking money from my account without even caring if I was still attending Gym or if I was even still alive. I got a letter of demand and am not going to pay. My other serious problem is that this a 2018 issue and you're only chasing me after your money 3 years later. Is this because Covid has affected your loses and now you're looking to bounce back.
