Unauthorized Debit Payments

<p>I've been a very happy customer with Zone Fitness. However, I stopped going in December last year due to personal reasons. I assumed that the contract would expire in that month as I knew it was a year-long contract. However, the debit payments continued. After consulting the contract I noticed that the contract would continue indefinitely until I, the consumer, made a stop request. It was only until the February payment that I decided to actually get around to it. I knew, though, that I would still be charged for that month as it requires 20 workings day for the request to be processed (rather ridiculous if the process is automated). Anyway, I subsequently assumed that if the stop request was made in February, it wouldn't contiue for March, April, May, accordingly. An agent of sorts even contacted me via email to confirm my request (ridiculous as well) and I provided my ID number to allow the process to continue. With no response from the agent thereof, I assumed that, that was the end of it. However, these DEBIT payments have continued to burden me. I've now logged another complaint via their website. I honestly feel as though this is ridiculous. I've been more than patient with this company and they've abused not only my time, but also the access to my bank account. </p>
