Still waiting for my money.

I app**** for membership at the gym but Two days later I received news that I am starting on a New Job on the Southern Suburbs. In my contract It is written that I can cancel my membership and get a full refund on my joining fee if I cancel within 5 days ( cooling period). I cancelled within that period and I was told it would take 2 - 3 days for me to get my money, It's three weeks and I am still waiting for the call and I have been to the gym to ask this but I was told my money is not ready. I don't know what that means. What annoys is the fact that the contract doesn't specify that I have to wait this long. And yes its not a huge amount but I want it back and I will be laying a charge and sue if this is not resolved by nextweek.
