Refusal to Cancel a contract

My 19 year old, who is at university, was ************ly duped into signing a gym contract on the sole basis that she is over 18! She is unemployed, and...as i said...a full time varsity student, yet they allowed this contract to be approved. When i contacted the gym to cancel the contract and to request that they deal only with me..., they consistently responded directly to my daughter, stating that she should get her gym money from her parents or they will blacklist her!!! These people are a bunch of ********** who dupe young people into signing up for what they definitely can't afford. They don't care what position their actions place people in. I am amazed to see the number of similar complaints about this place and yet nothing gets done about them. How they attract members and then mislead them into signing contracts is completely *******. Had they done a proper due diligence of income to cost ratio, which is required by the National Credit Act, they would not have processed this contract. And then to assume that the parents must be responsible for the contract is both ********** and ********. I have every intention of reporting them to the National Credit Regulator!
