Read and understand well before are signing up with Zone Fitness

I signed up for a 3 year contract on 20 February 2026 at Middestad Mall, Pretoria CBD, which is in close Vicinity of my workplace. My experience was average, but I paid my R299 every month. Unfortunately 12 May I received a sms to notify me that the branch is closing down and all members will be automatically be transferred to a high risk crime area, already very full Bloed street or far from my workplace, Hatfield. I refused and said they are in breach of contract but as we know big companies don't care about CPA. Even though I didn't cancel/terminated my contract I was advised that I pay R3946.80 to cancel the contract, if not they will simply not cancel the contract and fees will be deducted from my Bank Account. In the sms they admit that they had challenges for years with the landlord, but this was never disclosed to new clients. I feel that Zone Fitness knew there is a big chance of closing the Branch, yet they pushed sales and the Public to sign up.
