Poor and misleading communication

Two years ago I was signed up as a member by one of the sales associates. I recall they were advertising memberships for a fifty rand sign up fee. I then completed my two years expecting my contract to end as per end date. Just to find out that I had to request for my contract to be stopped. I then placed a stop order on my account because I am an intern and needed my money because in my mind they are taking my own money.

My concerns with this company is that their Parow branch sales associates or at that time a particular sales associate did not have the T&CS conversation with me upfront, pressing me to sign the contract because I wont get it at a reduced price again. I asked the gentleman if there is any hidden clauses in the contract and he said no.

Now I have their head-office constantly urging me to pay the account. I then settled my debt and requested a cancellation via email on *** and *** and they still did not have the decency to get back to me. They did not even email me to tell me my contract is coming to an end and on what basis the contract will continue going forward.

To be honest with you, I feel if people were doing their job instead of trying to bank a sale a lot of us would not be in the predicament we are in now. By the way this happened with my colleague as well.
