Pathetic service

I reversed my my debit order in June cause it was in the middle of lockdown. Firstly I got nothing stating that they were going to debit me, secondly I got no notification that I needed to start making payment again. Today I got an SMS stating I'm in arrears and when I called they gave me an amount of over R1000 total due. So my question is why did no one contact me not even an SMS just saying that we didn't receive your payment in July. I only received this sms now in Feb like 9 months later. There's no contact with customers at all.
